CLOSING EVENTS

On 20 November 2025, the Human Scale team, together with academic partners from Romania and Italy, will host two special events in Venice: a round table on architecture’s critical instruments and the exhibition’s finissage, followed by the launch of the Human Scale catalogue.

The visitors are invited to join a guided tour led by the curator and authors of the Human Scale project (Cosmina Goagea, Vlad Nancă, Ioana Chifu and Onar Stănescu), followed by an open discussion with guests: Daniela Calciu, Radu Tudor Ponta and Celia Ghyka (Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism, Bucharest); Esther Giani and Francesco Bergamo (Iuav University of Venice); and Alejandro Martinez de Arbulo, guest professor from KIT – Kyoto Institute of Technology.
The Romanian Pavilion will also host the first public launch of the Human Scale exhibition catalogue.

In the context of the exhibition’s finissage, the sITA team – the journal of the “Sanda Voiculescu” Department of History & Theory of Architecture and Heritage Conservation (UAUIM Bucharest) – will announce the theme and directions for its 2026 call for papers, dedicated to architecture’s critical instruments: the conceptual, technical, and cultural means that shape how architecture is imagined, represented, and constructed.

Published by IDEA Publishing House, the Human Scale catalogue includes reproductions of the works exhibited in Venice, photographs of the exhibition by YAP Studio, as well as texts by Cosmina Goagea, Vlad Nancă, Ioana Chifu, and Onar Stănescu, outlining the content and approach of the exhibition.

Human Scale can be visited until 23 November 2025 in its two venues in Venice, as part of the 19th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia.
